SHILOH ILLINOIS
The Village of Shiloh is a community of 13,000 residents and is approximately 20 miles east of downtown St. Louis.  Immediately east of the Shiloh is Scott Air Force Base, which is home to as many as 13,000 military and civilian employees. In addition, nearly 10,000 family members are assigned to Scott AFB and there are approximately 19,000 retired military members assigned to Scott AFB.  Several former military members have elected to retire in Southern Illinois and raise their families in Shiloh Illinois. SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE
Scott AFB has a significant impact on the communities it surrounds.  In fact, Scott AFB’s regional economic impact is roughly $2.1 billion.

Scott Air Force Base is home to the Air Mobility Command and the U.S. Transportation Command.  The base is also home to the Air Force Reserve Command’s 932 Airlift Wing, the 126th Illinois Air National Guard Refueling Wing and is operated by the 375th Air Mobility Wing.  In addition, two new cybersecurity squadrons were added to the base.
